IMPORTANT Parent Notes!!

Important Parent Notes

1.     Look in your child’s folder EVERY day to…

-      look at, review, and remove all work your child worked on that day

-      initial in that day’s box on the calendar for behavior awareness

-      check for notes from the teacher, bus driver, cafeteria, staff, etc.

2.    Bus, Van, and Car Rider Tags need to be worn every day for the

first couple of weeks so our staff can assist your child in getting to his or her classroom in the mornings.

3.    When sending money you must place it in an envelope.  On the envelope write your child’s name, the teacher’s name, the amount of money you have enclosed and what the money is for.  Place the envelope in your child’s folder.  Send correct amount only – no change. Advise student to never open folders.

(Note:  Students drop envelopes all the time out of their folders on the bus, in the hallway, in the bathrooms, in the classroom, in the library, etc.)

4.    Changes in method of transportation must be sent to the teacher in writing.  Include the child’s name, how you want him or her to get home from school (bus number, van name, etc.), an effective date for this change to begin, and your signature.  If your child will be going to a different address don’t forget to include the address he or she should be dropped off at.

5.    Breakfast/Lunch Numbers are assigned to each child.  Please assist your child in memorizing this number during the first two weeks of school.  Write your child’s number on his or her bookbag at the top in a visible location while being worn so the lunchroom staff will be able to assist your child until he or she is able to remember his or her number.

If your child will be eating breakfast instruct him or her to go directly to the lunchroom upon arrival at school each morning NOT to the classroom.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!  I would be glad to assist you in any way that I can!  :)
I'm excited about the 2012-2013 school year that is about to begin!!
